An AI pilot ROI scorecard

Every team is asked to do something with AI. Most pilots stall. Use this five-question scorecard before you start.

1. Is there a repeatable workflow that someone does at least 50 times a month?
2. Is the input mostly text, or otherwise easy to convert?
3. Is there a clear go/no-go signal so the model knows when to defer?
4. Is failure recoverable without harming a customer or breaking a regulation?
5. Is success measurable in hours saved or revenue earned, not just satisfaction?

Score each yes as 2 points, partial as 1, no as 0. Pilots above 7 ship. Below 5 do not.
